Design Studio I - Place

This course introduces architectural design through a series of short studies regarding "place" that provide opportunities to develop basic design skills, including free-hand drawing, site analysis, and modeling. The theme of "place" is explored at a variety of scales, beginning with the geology of Sudbury, its foundations as a rail town, and its mining history as sources for design exercises.
