Science Writing in the Public Sphere

This course investigates how scientific concepts, methods, and findings are communicated in the public sphere and examines selected genres and contexts of science writing for nonspecialist audiences. Prerequisite: 18 credits of university courses. Students cannot retain credits for both SCOM 2016 and ENGL 2016 (Lec 3, 3 cr).
