Probability and Statistics

This course presents the fundamentals of statistics: probability distributions, multivariate distributions, marginal distributions, moment-generating functions, moments of random variables, and moments of linear combinations of random variables, special densities, functions of random variables, sampling distributions, methods of estimation, maximum likelihood estimates, and testing hypothesis. PREREQ: MATH 2037 and STAT 2246. (lec 3) cr 3.
