Oncology for Radiation Therapy II

This is the second of two integrated courses that provide an in-depth study of the major adult and paediatric oncological disease sites. Topics include breast cancer, gynaecological cancer, cancers of the head and neck, lymphomas, CNS cancers, paediatric cancers, sarcomas of bone and soft tissue, and haematologic malignancies. Case studies are used to foster an understanding of the patient experience, treatment trajectory, and the integrated nature of radiation therapy. The course is delivered by The Michener Institute of Education at UHN. PREREQ: Successful completion of all Year 3 Fall courses in the Radiation Therapy Program. Successful completion of all mandatory health and safety requirements as identified by the program and all hospital-mandated prerequisites. The course is only available to students enrolled in the joint Michener/Laurentian Radiation Therapy program. (lec 3, tut 1.5) cr 3.
